Cloud hosting providers that support on-demand provisioning of virtual compute resources by their customers can now provide the ScaleXtreme management console in a seamless and integrated way to help their customers manage their machines. Customers enabled with ScaleXtreme integration will have access to a powerful set of tools that provide full-lifecycle control over unlimited numbers of servers across multiple hosted accounts from a single web interface -- all for free. Learn more about the benefits of ScaleXtreme Integration.

How Integration Works

Cloud providers can integrate with ScaleXtreme in 2 easy steps:

1. Setup customers on ScaleXtreme

This involves creating accounts for cloud provider customers on ScaleXtreme through REST based API calls. For more details on how to create a customer, please refer to our Cloud Provider Create User API.

The only precondition for this step is that the cloud provider must be enabled by ScaleXtreme to create accounts on ScaleXtreme. Once a cloud provider creates an account for their customer on ScaleXtreme, we will send their customer an email (which the provider can customize to some extent) with their credentials to access our system. 

The one-way sync of the provider's customer's cloud API credentials ensures that credentials are always accurate and current. For more details on how to sync cloud account api info, please refer to our Cloud Provider Account Sync API.

2. Update existing images with the ScaleXtreme Agent Helper

This involves pre-installing the ScaleXtreme Agent Helper on all images in the cloud provider's service catalog, so that any and all new instances launched by a customer on the cloud provider's console can automatically be managed via the ScaleXtreme web console.

The above steps ensure that any new instances created by the cloud provider's customer are managed by ScaleXtreme. For existing instances created prior to integrating with ScaleXtreme, the customer can auto-install the agent on all existing servers via the ScaleXtreme management console.
