ScaleXtreme is pleased to announce these new features in Novermber-December, 2011:

  • Dynamic Server Assembly (DSA) - DSA is a powerful server modeling technology that enables users to assemble and deploy unlimited combinations of virtual machines and application stacks on multiple cloud provider accounts.
  • Server Templates - Server Templates are at the core of DSA functionality. You can create templates that let you rapidly deploy pre-configred instances on a cloud provider of choice, with pre-selected scripts already rolled in. When the template is launched the instance is created on the selected cloud provider account, and all included scripts are executed on that instance. Templates make it easy to scale up resources on demand with the applications you need already on board; and they give you the flexibility to create new combinations of virtual machines and application stacks as needed in demanding production environments.
  • New "My Templates" folder - All templates created in ScaleXtreme are stored in the new "My Templates" folder in the Script Library. Create new templates using combinations of pre-configured instances on multiple cloud provider accounts with scripts added from the Scalextreme Script Library and build your own versatile archive of rapidly deployable virtual resources.
  • CloudStack Support - ScaleXtreme 1.5 adds native support for the Citrix CloudStack API. Use the Clouds tab to add any CloudStack provider to ScaleXtreme's unified management framework and manage all your clouds from a single convenient web UI.
