DSA is a powerful server modeling technology that lets you assemble and rapidly deploy combinations of pre-configured virtual machines and application stacks on multiple cloud provider accounts. ScaleXtreme with DSA makes it easy to scale resources on demand, and gives you the flexibility to generate new resource configurations as needed in demanding real world production environments.

Introducing Server Templates

ScaleXtreme 1.5 with DSA introduces Server Templates. Server Templates integrate many of ScaleXtreme's innovative web-based management tools into a single powerful feature that lets you create and launch pre-configured instances on a cloud provider of choice, with pre-selected scripts already rolled in. You can create a template that launches any type of Linux or Windows machine in a cloud provider's catalog, with any number of application installer and other scripts added from the ScaleXtreme Script Library and App Store. For example, you might create a Template that launches a pre-configured instance of CentOS, RHEL or Debian on your EC2 account, with a LAMP installer script added. When you launch the template, the specified instance is created on your EC2 account, then the installer script executes to deploy the LAMP stack on the instance.

With DSA Server Templates you can spin up the resources you need with a single click -- any type of Linux or Windows machines, with the applications you need already on board (LAMP, Java, JBoss, Ruby, etc.). Create you own template library and have a valuable archive of ready-to-launch virtual resources at your fingertips.

ScaleXtreme Version 1.5 with DSA is a free update that is fully integrated into our web-based service and automatically included with all existing ScaleXtreme Xpress and Xpert edition accounts.
